The Lord's promise

What this song means to me

I made a promise to stay close.

To learn about his Love so I can Love myself and others the way he intended, not the way I "learned" or the way I think I should or others think I should, and so I can stop expecting others
to love me (like only He can).

Just a tiny insight into my relationship with Him
I am lucky that He is incredibly patient but maybe it is because I am such a difficult student (who thought too long that she wasn't) that I actually learned about His patience.
Picture

You know I
I've been spending time
I've been on my own
No, I'm not about to tell you that
it's been way to long
No, I've been on my own
I've been loving making my own damn home

Now after all this time
I dry my tears
I'm kinda ready and done
with all these fears
as they've been keeping me
(stuck, lost, hurt, lonely,...)
for years and years
and years

I'VE HAD ENOUGH

NOW is as a good time as any
Got no excuses left
I'm better than ready
I've seen it all go down to hell and back

For a reason - It was a season
Yeah, I was stuck there for a minute
just feeling
Oh I was dealing with the aftermath of
losing you

I lost you once
Could never do that again
No, I don't wanna
So I ain't gonna

You made me promise

and I know you're keeping Yours

YOU'VE HAD ENOUGH

NOW is as a good time as any
Got no excuses left
You better be ready

I've seen it all go down to hell and back
for a reason - It was a season
Yeah, I was stuck there for a minute
just feeling
Oh I was dealing with the aftermath of
losing you

You know I
I've been spending time
I've been on my own
Yeah I'm,... about to tell you
it's been way to long
Yeah, I've been on my own
I've been loving finding my way
back home
