This Friday, 5 talented artists/acts are performing at a venue in Antwerp called Filmhuis KLAPPEI at
Team Oor om Oog/An ear for an Eye (Which I feel very lucky to have been invited to be a part of) is hosting their very first OPEN Mic Night! And I am also one of the acts! Oor om Oog/An ear for an eye, stand for the idea of having something to listen to, music, rap, spoken word, a DJ set, and then having something to watch. This can be at the same time but the main idea is that it's a show, a musical act and then a short film,
chosen by the artist(s) which suets the atmosphere or highlights the message in the music, or which is just a "must see" in the eye of the artist(s). |

In my case it wasn't the intention of this night, but I have created a video that will run in the background on a movie screen as I am performing in an old-school movie theater, It's a cozy space with 50 seats and I'm gonna try to get you to clap along and for some songs with the lyrics on screen it should be a breeze to just chip in and sing along.
I'll be filming the show, because I hope to do more of them and get more creative with them over time,
also with my band Morning Dew and other musical projects I'm involved in like Qortih (more about that later...).
So I'll be posting the show, hopefully, when the quality of sound is good,
to my Youtube page, but please, if you are close to Antwerp and don't have plans yet
this coming Friday 26.5.2023 do drop by!

This song reminds you that it's not about proving anything outward. You don't have to prove yourself, ever. But in the case that it's evident that it wouldn't make a difference. It makes a difference to you, what you do. You can find your strength deep within yourself to do what your heart desires. Love it! |

When you see someone's situation, it's often said that it's easy to see where they are at, "probabilities" pop-up.
He probably this, she probably that. These ideas or judgments often prevent us from wondering what is true. They can keep us from reaching out and actually making a difference in whatever small way. This song tells only two stories, but it leaves you hanging, realizing it's ONLY two. Every one of us faces battles nobody knows anything about. Be kind, be gentle, 'cause what if... What if... truly needed a real short story/film type music video. Although our budget was close to zip, we still found a way to really level up our music video making game. On Friday 19th May 2023 we are releasing our first single
What if... to introduce Morning Dew on Spotify under CaseyMusic We are uploading a music video the same day to Morning Dew's brand new Youtube channel. What if... truly needed a real short story/film type music video. Although our budget was close to zip, we still found a way to really level up our music video making game. So save the date, set an alarm, because you are in for a surprise. The music video for Deep within yourselfDeep within yourself is still in the brainstorm fase, so we are curious about it ourselves but you can expect it ASAP. But look out for the release on Spotify on Friday 26th May 2023. |

It's only 2 days before the deadline (3.5.2023)
to upload the AlbumArt to Tunecore. I'm not worried... Not yet anyway. At some point I remember I didn't think we would come up with a good name for the band but then Morning Dew popped up. A title for the album left us in doubt for months, until we landed on Wildflowers carry Morning Dew. Experience shows that we can figure it out. I'm sure we'll figure this one out aswel. |
