"It's not a crime" is a testimony of how the balans is twisted. Seemingly ok when others are ungrateful, unfair but it is a crime when you are honest and open about who you really are. When you are cautious about who you let inside you might get called out about not being open by those not realizing
they aren't safe to open up to from the start. |
It's about the effect of that,
in trying to understand how it is so twisted you forget or loose sight on the fact that you are and have been, grateful, fair, honest, open but you could have been kinder to yourself. |
It seems to be a crime,
it seems to be a crime... It seems to be a crime, it seems to be a crime Oh! It seems to be a crime It seems to be a crime Oh! It's not a crime when you're ungrateful It's not a crime when you're unfair It seems to be a crime when you are honest About who you really are Oh! It's not a crime to be human! It's not a crime when you are cautious About who you let inside They'll call you out say you're uncertain When they're unsafe right from the start Oh! It's not a crime when you're human! |
It seems to be a crime,
it seems to be a crime Oh! It seems to be a crime It seems to be a crime It's been a crime to be shallow To care 'bout what other people think Now the only crime that I've committed Is not be kinder to myself Oh! It's not a crime to be human! It seems to be a crime, it seems to be a crime Oh! It seems to be a crime It seems to be a crime It seems to be a crime it's not a crime Oh! It's not a crime to be human! It's not a crime it's not a crime It's not a crime It's not a crime Written by Kimberley Ceulemans © CaseyMusic |
